Mr. B.Sriramulu, Senior Advocate was born on 29-12-1933 in Nekkundram in Ponneri Taluk. He studied in Hindu High School Madras and in the Loyola College and Presidency College from where he graduated in 1954. He took his Law Degree in 1956 Madras Law College and became an apprentice-at-Law of the Legendary Mr.V.L.Ethiraj Bar at law. He was enrolled on 21.10.1957. He worked in the office of well known Public Prosecutors - Sri V.L.Ethiraj, Sri V. T .Rangaswamy Ayyangar and Sri N.Krishnaswamy Reddiar (later, Justice N.Krishnaswamy Reddy). He was retainer for the CBI in our High Court till 1991 and he then became the State Public Prosecutor till 1996. His invaluable guidance and support have been availed of, by a number of juniors. The Madras Bar Association recorded its deep appreciation for the contribution of its member Shri B.5riramulu towards the cause of Justice and March of Law in this country on the occasion of his ‘50’ Glorious Years, on 26.11.2007. His wife Prof.Mrs.B.Shantha is an educationist and their two doctor sons and a Computer Engineer son reside in the USA.

Mr.V.Gopinath, B.Sc., B.L. Senior Advocate is the son of well known lawyer Mr. N.K.Vijayaraghavan, Vellore who was Public Prosecutor there and was also having considerable practice on the Civil side. Sri Gopinath was enrolled on 5.10.1964 and worked as junior of Sri Mohan Kumaramangalam, Bar at law. In 1967 he joined the office of Sri N.T.Vanamamalai (NTV) leader of the Bar on the criminal side in our High Court, who was also a member of our Ediorial Committee. He has assisted NTV in number of sensational cases - M.R.Radha case, Regina Nagesh Case, Trade Union Kuchelar case, etc. Since 1977 he has been practising independently on the criminal side. He has appereared in number of Referred Trials - like Constable Selvaraj case, the Six murder case, etc. He was designated as Senior Advocate in 1995 and heads his office with large band of juniors at Chennai and at Madurai.

Mr. Muthukrishna Ravindran Senior Advoate and former Additional Solicitor General of India, was born on 31.10.1944 at Madurai. After completion of school he took his B.Sc. degree from the American College, Madurai in 1963 and B. L. degree from Madras Law College in 1965. After enrolment on 21.1.1966 he joined the Chambers of Sri Mohan Kumaramangalam Bar-at-Iaw and assisted him in number of sensational cases _ including the M.R.Radha case, the Regina Nagesh case. He has rich experience as defence counsel for Army personnel in Court Martial cases. He has travelled widely on international trips. On invitation by the Madras High Court he has delivered lectures to newly recruited Judges and Promotees at the Judicial Academy, since 1995. He took part as Chief panelist from Madras at the Dialogue on “Rule of Law” and “Judicial Reforms -U.S. Experience” telecast on Worldnet, Washington D.c. on 27th February,1997. Sri Ravindran has assisted Sri N.Natarajan, former Public Prosecutor during 1966-1971. He has Substantial Work in Civil, Criminal, Writ and Original side jurisdictions and is also frequently making appearances before the Supreme Court. He was designated Senior Advocate on 12th July 1993 by the Madras High Court. He was Secretary of the Madras Bar Association during 1992-1994 and was its President of the Madras Bar Association from 1994 to 1999. In 1999 he was appointed by the Madras High Court as Administrator under the Companies Act in liquidation proceedings for the Anubhav Group of Companies and financial firms. His services in managing to recover major portion of the moneys and arranging repayments to depositors have been uniformly appreciated.

Mr. A.T.M.Sampath Advocate Supreme Court of India, senior member of our Editorial team has been representing us at the Supreme Court for the last more than four decades in procuring judgements and where he has been having an extensive practice. His guidance and help to us has been immeasurable and we are grateful to have him.

Mr. V.Anand, son of Mr S.Venkatachari who was a leading Lawyer ay Vridachalam, is a member of the Law Weekly Publisher’s family. He hails from the famous town of Vridachalam, the abode of Lord Vridagirishwarar. He belongs to a family of Lawyers, himself being a third generation Lawyer. Grandfather R.Srinivasaraghavachari was an Advocate and active practitioner. Grand-father K.Gopalachari was an eminent Senior Advocate in the High court Madras. Mr Anand enrolled in 1992 and has been having an extensive practice in the Madras High Court on all branches of Law. Mr Anand is a voracious reader and lectures on different forums on many topics, especially in Philosophy, Vedanta, Astronomy and Astrology. He Practices in the Original and Appellate side of the Madras High Court.

Mr. R.Karthikeyan, Advocate is the son of Mr Justice D.Raju, (retd) Judge of the Supreme Court of India. He is practising on the Criminal side for more than two decades. He is Standing Counsel to the Chennai Port Trust. He was earlier the Government Advocate (Criminal Side) and also Central Government Standing Counsel for Customs and Central Excise.

Mr. K.Govindarajan Advocate, Madurai, our member representing us at the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court hails from the town of Kulithalai. He enrolled in 1994 and started his practice at Madras with Mr. S.Parthasarathy, Senior Advocate and later moved over to Madurai when the Madurai Bench of the Madras High Court was inaugurated in 2004. He currently has a successful practice at Madurai with a battery of juniors and resides there. A man of friendly and helpful nature, he plays host to most of the lawyers going to Madurai. His contribution in procuring judgements with alacrity and speed for reporting in our journals is commendable.

Mr. V.C.Janardhanan is the Publisher and Editor of the The Law Weekly, Law Weekly (Criminal) and Writ Law Reporter He is the great-grandson of the Founder and son of the publisher Mr V.C.Ramachandran and nephew of Mr Srikuma, our former Editor. He has varied interests, has travelled widely around the world. He is currently practicing at Chennai.
